The Norfolk Coast
Alan Childs and Donald Mackenzie
Halsgrove 2005

This book is well worth the asking price for its wonderful photos alone.  They’re not the usual stock postcard images but ones taken especially for the book – including some, I now notice, by my old geography master.  There’s even one of a former neighbour from Eccles.  Not the usual guide book fare, therefore.  The text is interesting too, telling me a lot I didn’t know.  It inevitably only gives a taste, and it does seem to be skewed towards the area from King’s Lynn to Sheringham, but I would recommend it to anyone who loves Norfolk, or who wants to get better acquainted with the place.
